  • Supervisor
    • All main platforms (Windows, OSX, Linux) will can run as a Supervisor regardless of the platforms used by the Workers.
    • If there is a choice of platforms, Linux would be preferred as it seems to be a more stable server platform, then OSX as it has a Linux kernel, and then Windows.
    • Farm Size
      • 1-10 node renderfarm – Dedicated or multi-use server is fine, 4 GB RAM
      • 11-50 node renderfarm – Dedicated Supervisor recommended, 8 GB RAM
      • 50-100 node renderfarm – Dedicated Supervisor recommended, 12GB 12-16 GB RAM
      • 100+ node renderfarm – Dedicated Supervisor recommended, Linux OS, 1216+ GB, separate physical disk for the MySQL databases
